މާކުންބޭ ސައިބޯން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. ރަނގަޅަށް ނުވެސް ހަފާ، އެތަނުގައި ހުރިއްޔާ ހުރި ހެދިކާއެއް އިސާހިތަކު ކާލައިފިއެވެ. ސައިތަށި ވެސް ދަމައިލީ އެއް ނޭވައިންނެވެ. މަތިމައްޗަށް ދެ ތަށި ފެން ބޮއިލައިފިއެވެ. އިރުކޮޅަކުން އިވުނީ ބޮޑު ވަޔެއް ލީއަޑެވެ. ކަނާތުގެ ކުޑަވާއިނގިލި އަނގައިގެ ތެރެއަށް ލައިގެން ދަތުގައި ތަތްވެފައި ހުރި ކާތަކެތި ސާފު ކުރަމުން، ހިނގައިގަތީ ފޯއްތަބަކާ ދިމާއަށެވެ. ބިލަތްގަނޑަކަށް ފުރާ ފޯއް އެޅުމަށްފަހު އަނގައަށް ލައިގެން ގެއިން ނިކުތުމަށް ޓަކައި ހިނގައިގެންފިއެވެ. އެންމެ ކުޑަމިނުން ހައްވަގާތު ދަނީއޭ ވެސް ބުނެނުލައެވެ.

“އަންނަ އިރަށް ކޮންމެ މީހަކު ކޮން ބޭކާރު ސުވާލެއްތަ ތި ކުރަނީ؟” މާކުންބޭގެ އަޑު ވަރަށް ބާރެވެ.
“ދެން ވެސް މަށަށް ކާއެއްޗެއް ދޭން އުޅެބަލަ!”
ފާތުމަ ސައި ހެދުމުން މާކުންބޭ ސައިބޯން ފަށައފިއެވެ. އަވަސް އަވަހަށް ހެދިކާތައް ކާން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. ރަނގަޅަށް ހެފުމެއް ވެސް ނެތި ދިރުވާލަނީއެވެ.
“މާކުންބޭ! ތިހާ އަވަސް އަވަހަށް ކާކަށް ނުވާނެ.” އެތަނުގައި އިން މީހަކު މިހެން ބުނެލުމާއެކު މާކުންބޭ ގާތަށް އައީ ރުޅިއެވެ.
“މަ ކާނެގޮތާއި ނުކާނެ ގޮތް އެނގޭނީ މަށަށް. އެއީ އެއްވެސް މީހަކާ ބެހޭކަމެއް ނޫން!”
ސައިބޮއި ނިމިގެން އެގެއިން ވެސް ވަރުގެ ކޮޅަށް ދުފާލައިގެން، މާކުންބޭ ނިކުމެއްޖެއެވެ. ދެން ދިޔައީ އޭނާގެ ތިންވަނަ ދަރިފުޅު އާމިނަތުގެ ގެއަށެވެ. އެގޮތަށް ފަހަރަކު ކުއްޖެއްގެ ގެއިން ސައިބޮމުން ގޮސް މިހާރު މާކުންބޭ އެ ވަންނަނީ އޭނާ ހަތްވަނަ ދަރިފުޅު ކަމަށްވާ ޒައިނަބުގެ ގެއަށެވެ. އޭރު ކެވުނުވަރުން މާކުންބޭއަށް ރަނގަޅަށް ނުވެސް ހިނގެއެވެ. ބަނޑު ހީވަނީ ބޮޑު ކަރައެއް ހެންނެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް އެ ގެއަށް ވަދެވެސް އޭނާ ފެށީ ސައިބޯށެވެ.
