އަހަރެންނަކީ ހަތަރެސްފައި ޖެހި ޖަނަވާރުގެ ގިންތިއަށް އުފަންވެފައިވާ ޖަނަވާރެކެވެ. މާ ހައިބަތު ބޮޑު ނޫން ނަމަވެސް ހައިބަތު ކުޑަ ކަމަކަށް އެއްބަސްވާކަށް ނެތީމެވެ. އެންމެ ދެ އަކުރުގެ ނަމަކުން އަހަރެންނަށް ނަންކީ ނަމަވެސް، އަހަރެމެންގެ އުޅުމާއި މިޒާޖުގައި ހުންނަނީ އެއަށްވުރެ މާ ތަފާތު ގޮތެކެވެ. އަހަރެމެންގެ އާއިލާގެ މެންބަރުންގެ ނަމުގެ ކުރިއަށް އެއްގަލަކަށް ނޭރޭ ފަދަ ދެ ނަން ކިޔާ ސަބަބަކީ ވެސް އެއީ ކަމުގައި ވެދާނެއެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް އަހަރެންގެ ނަމުގެ ކުރިއަށް ގެންނާނީ މިތަނުން ކޮން ނަމެއް ކަމެއް ނޭނގެއެވެ. “ވަގު” ބާވައެވެ؟ ނޫނީ “އޮޅު” ބާވައެވެ؟
އަހަރެންގެ އެންމެ ދުރު ހަނދާނަކަށް ހުންނަނީ މީގެ ހައެއްކަ އަހަރު ކުރީގެ ހަނދާނެކެވެ. އޭރު އަހަރެން ވަރަށް ކުޑައެވެ. އެއީ އަހަންނާއި އަހަރެންގެ އެއްބަނޑު ތިން ބެއިން ތުނބުލައިގެން އެއްހާލިން އަނެއް ހާއްޔަށް ބަދަލުކުރަން މަންމަ އުފުލި ބުރައިގެ ހަނދާނެވެ. ބައްޕަގެ ޝިކާރައަކަށްވެ އަހަރެމެން ހަތަރުބެއިން ނިމިދާނެތީ އެކަމުން ސަލާމަތް ކުރުމަށްޓަކައި މަންމަ ކުރި މިންނެތް މަސައްކަތުގެ ހަނދާނެވެ. އާއެކެވެ. އެއީ ކުޑަ ކަމެއް ނޫނެވެ. ހާއްޔަކަށްފަހު ހާއްޔަކަށް ބަދަލު ކުރަމުން ގޮސް، ހަތް ހާއްޔަށް ބަދަލުކުރުން ކުޑަ ކަމަކަށް ނުވާނެތާއެވެ.
އަހަރެންގެ ހަޔާތުގެ ވާހަކަދައްކާއިރު އެންމެ ފުރަތަމަ ބުނެލަން ބޭނުންވަނީ އަހަރެންގެ ހަޔާތުގައި ތަޖުރިބާ ކުރި އެންމެ ހިތްދަތި އެއް ހާދިސާގެ ވާހަކައެވެ. އެއީ އެއްރެއެއްގެ ރޭގަނޑުގެ ވަގުތެވެ. އަހަރެމެން ހަތަރުބެއިން ހާލީގައި ބައި ތިއްބާފައި އާދައިގެ މަތިން މަންމަ ނިކުތީ ކައިއެއްޗެއް ހޯދާށެވެ. އެތައް އިރެއްވީއިރުވެސް މަންމައެއް ނައެވެ. ވީ ގޮތެއް ނޭނގުނެވެ. ކަންބޮޑުވެ ހާސްވީ ވީގޮތްވީ އެހެންވެއެވެ. އަހަރެމެން ހަތަރު ބެއިން ބަނޑުހައި ހޫނުކަންމަތީ އެކަނިމާ އެކަނި އެރޭގެ ހަތަރުދަން ވޭތުކުރީމެވެ. ކަރުނައިގެ ތެރޭގައެވެ. އިރު އެރުމުން ހާލި ދޫކޮށްފައި ނިކުތީއެވެ. ދުނިޔޭގެ ބިރުވެރިކަމާއި ނާމާންކަމުން ފުރިފައިވާ ޖައްވަށެވެ. އަހަރެމެންނަށް މަންމަ ފެނުނީ އޭގެ ދެ ދުވަސް ފަހުންނެވެ. ވަރަށް އަނިޔާވެރި ގޮތަކަށް މަރާލާފައި އޮއްވައެވެ. ކޮންމެވެސް އިންސާނެއްގެ އަނިޔާވެރި ހަމަލާއެއްގެ ޝިކާރައަކަށްވެ މަންމަގެ ހަޔާތް ޚަތިމުވީއެވެ. އަހަރެމެން ހަތަރު ބެއިން މިސްކީނުވީއެވެ. ހާދަ ހިތާމައެއް ކުރީމެވެ. ހަމައެކަނި ކުރިއަށް އޮތް ދުވަސް ތަކުގެ ނިކަމެތިކަން ހިތަށް އަރާފައެއް ނޫނެވެ.
އެއްދުވަހެއްގެ މެންދުރުކުރީގެ ވަގުތެވެ. ޖަންގަލި ތެރޭގައި އަހަރެމެން ހިނގަމުން ދިޔައީ ކައި އެއްޗެއް ލިބޭތޯއެވެ. އެކި ތަންތަނަށް ލޯ ދެމުން، ބޯ ދީ ބަލަމުންނެވެ. ބަނޑު ފުރާނަ މުއްތި ކުރެވޭނެ ގޮތްވީ ގޮނޑެއްގެ ތެރެއިންނެވެ. އެހެނަސް އެކަމުން ލިބުނު ހިތްހަމަ ޖެހުމަށްވުރެ ދެން ކުރިމަތިވި ހިތްދަތިކަން މާބޮޑުވިއެވެ. ގޮނޑުން ލިބުނު ކައި އެތިކޮޅަށް އިންސާފުކޮށް ނިމުނުތަނާ ކަހަލަ ގޮތަކަށް އިންސީންގެ ތެރެއިން ޒުވާނަކަށް އަހަރެމެން ފެނިއްޖެއެވެ. ފަހައިގެންފިއެވެ. ގަތް ބިރެއް ނޭނގުނެވެ. ޖެހުނު ދިމާއަކަށް ދުއްވައިގަތީއެވެ. އަހަންނަށް ވަދެވުނީ ތަންކޮޅެއް ދުރުގައި ހުރި ފަންދަނޑިއެއްގެ ދަށަށެވެ. އެތަނުން އަހަންނަށް ހިމާޔަތް ލިބުނު ނަމަވެސް، މުޅި އުމުރު އެކުގައި ހޭދަކުރުމަށް އަޒުމު ކަނޑައެޅި ހަތަރު ބެއިން ވަކިވެ ގެއްލުނީއެވެ.
އެ ދުވަހުން ފެށިގެން އަހަރެން އެކަނިވެރިވެއްޖެއެވެ. ނިކަމެތިކަން އިހުނަށްވުރެ ބޮޑުވިއެވެ. ހަދާނެ ގޮތް ހުސްވެއްޖެއެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް މަރުވާންދެން ކޮންމެވެސް ގޮތަކަށް އުޅެން ޖެހޭނެތާއެވެ. އެހެންކަމުން ހިނގައިގަތީ އަވަށްގަނޑާ ދިމާއަށެވެ. މިހާ ކުޑައިރު އެކަނިމާއެކަނި ޖަންގަލިތެރޭގައި އުޅުމަކީ ވެވޭނެ ކަމެއްކަމަށް އަމިއްލަ ޒަމީރު ގަބޫލު ނުކުރާތީއެވެ.
ބަލިކަށިކަމާއި ނިކަމެތިކަމާއެކު، ގޮވަމުން އަވަށްގަނޑު ތެރޭގައި އަހަރެން ހިނގީމެވެ. އިންސާނުން ފެނެއެވެ. ބައެއް މީހުން އަޅައެއް ނުލައެވެ. އަނެއް ބަޔަކު ކޮންމެވެސް ކަހަލަ ގޯނާއެއް ކޮށްލައެވެ. ކުޑަކުދިންނަށް އަހަރެން ދައްކައިގެން އެކުދިން މަސަލަސް ކުރަން އުޅޭ މީހުން ވެސް ފެނެއެވެ. މިގޮތުގައި ދެ ދުވަހެއް ވީއިރު، އިންސާނުންދެކެ އަހަރެން ކުރިން ގަތް ބިރު ކަނޑެން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. ގޭގެއާއި ގޯތިތެރެއަށް ވަދެ އުޅުމުގެ ޖެހިލުން ވެސް ކެނޑެން ފަށައިފިއެވެ.
އެއްދުވަހެއްގެ މެންދުރު ކުރީގެ ވަގުތެވެ. އަހަރެން އިނީ ގެއެއްގެ ގޯތި ތެރޭގައި ހުރި ރުކެއްގެ ދަށުގައެވެ. ގޮވާލަ ގޮވާލައެވެ. ވަރަށް ބޮޑަށް ބަނޑުހައިވެފައެވެ. އިރުކޮޅަކުން ގޭތެރެއިން ނިކުތީ ފިރިހެނަކާއި ހަތަރު ފަސް އަހަރުގެ ކުޑަކުއްޖެކެވެ. ލަފާ ކުރެވޭ ގޮތުން އެއީ ދެ ބަފައިންނެވެ. ބައްޕައަށް އަހަރެން ފެނުމާއެކު ދަރިފުޅަށް ދެއްކިއެވެ. “ބައޯ ބައޯ” އޭ ބުނި އަޑު އިވުނެވެ. އަހަރެން އިނީ ބަލާށެވެ. އަޅައެއް ނުލަމެވެ.
އެ ކުޑަކުޑަ ޝައުފާނަށް އަހަރެން ވަރަށް ކަމުހިނގައްޖެއެވެ. ބައްޕަ ގޮވައިގެން ގެއަށްވަދެ، މޮޑެފައި ހުރި ބަތްތައްޓެއް ގެނެސް އަހަރެން ކުރި މަތީގައި ބަހައްޓައިފިއެވެ. ބަނޑުހައިވެ ހާންތި ވާވަރުވެފައި އިން އަހަންނަށް، ވާނޭ ގޮތް އިހުސާސް ކޮށްލަ ބަލާށެވެ.

މިގޭގައި އަހަރެންގެ ސާހިބަކީ ޝައުފާނެވެ. ޝައުފާން އަހަންނަށް ކިޔަނީ “ކެޓީ”އެވެ. ލޯބިންނެވެ. އަހަރެން ވަރަށް ހިނި އާދެއެވެ. ދެން ކޮން ކެޓީއެއް ހެއްޔެވެ. އެކަމަކު ޝައުފާން އަހަރެންނަށް ރަނގަޅު ކަމުން ކެޓީއޭ ގޮވާލާއިރަށް އަހަރެން އަންނަމެވެ. މީރުކޮށް ކާންދޭތީއެވެ. އުފަލާއި އަރާމުގައި އުޅެވޭތީއެވެ. އަހަރެންގެ ވަޒީފާ އަކީ ޝައުފާން ގޭގައި އުޅޭ ވަގުތު އޭނާ އާ އެއްކޮށް ވަގުތު ހޭދަކުރުމެވެ.
މި ގޮތުގައި ދުވަސްތައް ވޭތު ވަމުން ދިޔަދިޔަހެން އަހަންނަށްވެސް ބަދަލުތައް އަންނަމުން ދިޔައެވެ. އިސްކޮޅަށާއި ރޫފައަށެވެ. ކުރިން ހުރި ޅަގޮތް ކެނޑި، މަސްފަލަވެ ވަކިތައް ތޫނު ވާން ފަށައިފިއެވެ. އަޑު ބަރުވެއްޖެއެވެ. އެހެން ނަމަވެސް އުޅުމަށާއި މިޒާޖަކަށް މާބޮޑު ބަދަލެއް ނުގެންނަމެވެ. ރޭގަނޑު ގޭމީހުން ނިދީމާ ބޭރަށް ނިކުމެލަމެވެ. ރަށު ތެރެ ބަލައި ލުމަށެވެ. ލިބުނު ލޯބިވެރިޔާއާއެކު ވަގުތު ހޭދަކޮށްލާށެވެ. އެއީ އުފާވެރި މަޖާ ދުވަސްތަކެކެވެ. ކައިވެނި ކުރިކަން ވެސް އެންމެ ކުޑަމިނުން ޝައުފާނަށް ވެސް ނާންގަމެވެ.
