ސަންގަކީ ފަރުފަރުގައި ދިރިއުޅޭ ބޮޑު ބޮއްޔަކަށް ކިޔާ ނަމެކެވެ. މިއީ ރަށު އޮފީހުން ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ކަންކަން އެންގުމަށް ބޭނުންކުރި ވަޞީލަތެކެވެ. ސަންގު ބޭނުންކޮށް އުޅުނީ މި ޒަމާނުގެ މުވާޞަލާތީ ކުރިއެރުން ދިވެހީންނަށް ނުލިބި އޮތް ދުވަސްވަރުއެވެ. އާދައިގެ ކަމަކާ ގުޅިގެން ރައްޔިތުންނާ ބައްދަލުކުރަން ރަށުގެ ވެރީން ބޭނުންވެއްޖެ ނަމަ، ސަންގުފުމެއުޅެނީ ދިގުކޮށް ލަސްލަހުންނެވެ. އާދަޔާޚިލާފުކަމެއް ނުވަތަ ނުރައްކާތެރި ކަމަކާ ގުޅިގެން ނަމަ، އަވަސްއަވަހަށް ބާރަށެވެ. މީގެ އިތުރުން ރޯދަމަހު އިރުއޮއްސިއްޖެކަން އެންގުމަށް ޓަކައި ވެސް، ރަށު އޮފީހުން ސަންގު ފުމެ އުޅުނެވެ. މިފަދަ ކަންކަމާ ގުޅިގެން އެކި ރަށްރަށުގައި ސަންގުފުމޭ އަދަދާއި ގޮތްތަކުގައި ތަފާތުހުރެއެވެ.

ބެރަކީ އިހުޒަމާނުގައި މުވާޞަލާތުކުރުމުގެ ވަޞީލަތެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ދިވެހީން ބޭނުންކޮށް އުޅުނު ވަޞީލަތެކެވެ. އެގޮތުން ތަފާތު ކަންކަމާގުޅިގެން ތަފާތު ނަންނަމުގައި ބެރުޖަހައި އުޅުނެވެ. މިގޮތަށް ބެރުޖަހައި އުޅުނީ ރަސްމީ ފަރާތްތަކުން ރައްޔިތުންނަށް އެކި ކަންކަން އެންގުމުގެ ގޮތުންނެވެ. އެގޮތުން ޖަހައި އުޅުނު އެއް ބެރަކީ ދަންބެރެވެ. ދަންބެރު ޖަހައި އުޅުނީ ރޭގަނޑު އެގާރަޖެހުމުން ދަންވެއްޖެކަން ރައްޔިތުންނަށް އެންގުމަށެވެ. މިނޫނަސް ތަފާތު ނަންނަމުގައި ތަފާތު ބެރުތައް ޖަހައި އުޅުނެވެ.

ހަންޖެހުމަކީ، ދަނޑިގަނޑެއްގެ ކޮޅުގައި ފޮތިގަނޑެއް އެއްސުމަށްފަހު މައްޗަށް އުފުލާ އުފުލުމަށް ކިޔައި އުޅޭ ނަމެކެވެ. މިކަން ކުރަނީ ކަނޑުމަތީގައި ދަތުރުކޮށްފައިދާ އުޅަނދަކަށް ބިރުވެރި ނުވަތަ ނުރައްކާތެރި ކަމެއްދިމާވެގެން، އެހީއަކަށް އެދި، ބަޔަކަށް އެންގުމަށް ޓަކައެވެ. ދޯންޏެއްގައި ހަންޖަހާފައި ވަނިކޮށް ބަޔަކަށް ފެނިއްޖެ ނަމަ، އެ ފެނުނު ބަޔަކު އެ ދޯނީގެ މީހުންނަށް އެހީތެރިކަން ފޯރުކޮށް ދިނުމަށް އެ ދޯންޏެއް ކައިރިއަށް އާދެއެވެ.

ރަމަޟާމަހުގެ ހަނދު ނުވަތަ އީދު ހަނދު ފެނުމުން، އެކަން ޖެހިގެން އޮތް ރަށަށް އެންގުމަށް ޓަކައި، ރަށުގެ ގޮނޑުދޮށުގައި އަލިފާންގަނޑެއް ރޯކުރުމަކީ އިހުޒަމާނުގައި ކޮށް އުޅުނު ކަމެކެވެ. ރޯދަމަހަށް ނުވަތަ އީދަށް ހަނދުބަލާރޭ މިފަދަ އަލިފާންގަނޑެއް ރަށެއްގެ ގޮނޑުދޮށުގައި ޖަހާފައި ހުރި ތަން އެހެން ރަށެއްގެ ބަޔަކަށް ފެނިއްޖެ ނަމަ، ހަނދު ފެނުނީކަން އެ ބަޔަކަށް އެނގޭނެއެވެ. އެހެންކަމުން މި ފަދަ އަލިފާން ގަނޑަކީ ވެސް މުވާސަލާތު ކުރުމަށް އެ ޒަމާނުގައި ބޭނުންކުރި ވަޞީލަތެކެވެ.
